FBLA Members Recognized at SLC

Seven members from Sandhills FBLA attended the State Leadership Conference in Omaha, April 5-8. The members had the opportunity to tour the college of Information Technology at UNO and were able to see prototypes of drones, a greenhouse that can be monitored from different sites, and different types of careers available. In addition they listened to great speakers, elected the 2017-2018 State Officers, and competed in several areas of competition.

Amanda Payne and Heidi Saner were recognized as chapter presidents by the FBLA Advisory Council.

Kyra Kennedy placed 2nd in her job interview preliminary group but did not advance.

Heidi Saner was recognized for Who's Who in Nebraska FBLA and also received the All-State Quality Member Award.

Sandhills received the Sweepstakes Award and was recognized for the following projects: March of Dimes, Go Green, Community Service, FBLA Foundation, Feed Nebraska, and Nebraska Scholarship Program.

Bryan Zutavern was recognized for achieving his Business level of the National BAA program and Carlie Collier, Amanda Payne, Hannah Christie and Dylan Lister were recognized for achieving their Future level of the National BAA program.

Kyra Kennedy qualified for the National Leadership Conference by attaining the highest level of the National Community Service Award Program by receiving her Achievement level--over 500 hours of community service.

Kyra Kennedy, Jacy Hafer and Heidi Saner received the Service Level of the National Community Service Award Program for donating 200 hours or more.

Bryan Zutavern and Amanda Payne received the Community Level of the National Community Service Award Program for donating at least 50 hours.
