January Blood Drive Huge Success
The January 13 Blood Drive hosted by the Sandhills FBLA exceeded their goal by four units! The Half Pint Hero Program which was facilitated by Amanda Koubek, Regional Blood Services played a big part in the success of the drive. The elementary and middle school students recruited 19 donors! Elementary and middle school students that were recognized for their efforts were: Peyton Saner, Connor Sutton, Aaron Hall, Caden Zutavern, Caleb Furrow, Charlie Smith, Abigail Rooney, Shaylee Milleson, Cora Martindale, Bristol Fink, Mattee Zutavern, Georgianna Rooney, Piper Hanson, Harper Zutavern, Breck Glidden, Haylyn Glidden, Rylyn Moody and Shely Schukei.
High School students who donated blood were seniors Colton Barela and Dylan Lister and junior Jakub Harris. Special thanks to them!
The Nebraska Cattlemen-Sandhills Affiliate served lunch of barbeque beef sandwiches and chips for all presenting donors and volunteers. Cookies were provided by the FBLA members.
