On September 10th, Sandhills FFA ventured to District 2 Range Judging in Thomas County. 19 students participated. All but 5 were first-timers!! They did a great job! Congrats to Matelyn Z. and Heath L. for receiving green ribbons and finishing in the top 30. Charlie S. and Paizley Z. finished in the top 50, and as a team of 4, they placed 8th. There were 142 participants in the junior division and 37 teams. There were 57 participants in senior division. Thanks to Mrs. Greene and her students for joining us and Zutavern ranch for providing an excellent practice site!

The second grade finished their first unit in their new reading series! They compared and contrasted Fairy Tales and Tall Tales. We ended the unit with a writing project about Paul Bunyan and did a perspective drawing.
The 8th Grade Computers Class has been busy the past couple of weeks! Students created Magazine Covers for each of their teachers based on their likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc. We hope you enjoy them as much as our high school staff did!

Knights Activities - Week 3
Knights' Volleyball is selling yard lines for the entire 2025 Knights' Football Season. For $25 you will own the yardline and at each home football game at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarter the person owning the yardline where the ball is placed will win $50. We sold a few already at the scrimmages last night!
North yard lines in Thedford will correlate with East yard lines at Sandhills. South yard lines in Thedford will correlate with West yard lines at Sandhills.

Sandhills art students from elementary through high school have projects on display at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island from Aug. 22-Sept. 1. Their artwork may be found in the Bosselman Conference Center on the south side of the Heartland Events Center. Stop by and see artwork from kids across the state!
