STK High School Track Team posts several high marks at the South Loup Invite.
Lindsey Light posts a new personal best in discus with a 109'9" throw and 3rd place. Lindsey also captured a 3rd place in the shot put and was on the winning Kolache 4 x 100 throwing relay and delicious Kolache's. Lindsey, V.P, Kaley Rasmussen and Matelyn Zutavern, Freshman Shylee Gonzales continues posting great marks in the 1600 earning 5th place. And bringing the crowd to their feet in a very tough field of 1600 m runners was Paizley Zutavern with a sprint to the wire, photo finish and reestablishing her school record of 5:50.40 and 2nd place. Paizley also medaled 2nd place in the 800 posting a time of 2:33.69.
The 4 x 400 team James Reiser, Bronc Reiser, Mason Sutton, and Connor Sutton placed 6th and the 4 x 800 with Mason, James, Heath Larsen, and Connor medaled 3rd. Connor also ran strong in the 1600 with a 5:01.20 time and 3rd place. He topped the day with a season best in the 800 with a 2:04.66 and a gold medal.

Yearbooks will not be shipped until after our final submission date, which is May 29, 2026. They should be delivered mid to late June.

Z A also won the Casey's Research Award.
Rafe Larsen captured 3rd Place in a very tough CNSEF competition as well as
the Thermo Fisher Junior Innovator Award.
20 individuals were called back for finals including Rafe and ZA.

At the UNK Indoor Meet last week:
• Paizley placed 4th in the 400M and 3rd in the 800M
• Connor brought home 1st in both the 800M and 1600M
• Shylee finished 5th in the 1600M
• Lindsey earned 6th in Shot Put
At the Anselmo-Merna Meet this week:
• Matelyn took 3rd in the 200M and Long Jump
• Carter placed 3rd in the 200M
• Maurice finished 6th in the 200M
• Shylee earned 3rd in the 400M and 800M
• Paizley placed 2nd in the 800M and 1600M
• Connor finished 1st in the 800M and 1600M
• Our Girls 4x100M relay team (Shylee, Matelyn, Paizley, Lindsey) took 2nd
• Lindsey added a 2nd in Discus and 3rd in Shot Put
• Bronc placed 4th in High Jump
• Heath earned 4th in Triple Jump
🔥 Special shoutout to Paizley Zutavern for breaking the school record in the 1600M with a time of 5:52.77! The previous record of 6:08.2 was held by Elizabeth Peterson.
