If you drive your student to school because a bus is not provided, it’s time to submit your mileage reimbursement claim for the second semester.
🗓️ DEADLINE:
Submit by June 26th, 2026 to the high school office or email to jaylee.simonson@sandhillsknights.org
2025-2026 REIMBURSEMENT RATES:
The Nebraska Department of Education has set the 2025 state mileage rate at $0.70 per mile.
Regular Resident Students: $1.9950 per mile (285% of the state rate).
Enrollment Option Students: $0.9975 per mile (142.5% of state rate).
Note: Enrollment option students must qualify for free lunch to be eligible.
✅ SUBMISSION CHECKLIST:
To ensure your claim is approved, your form must include:
Student Names: List all students transported.
Daily Logs: Specific dates and total miles traveled (calculated for distances over 3 miles).
Signature: A signed statement confirming the report is true and correct.

Parents: We are trying a different yearbook program this year called Treering. All yearbook purchases need to be done through the following link: https://www.treering.com/purchase?PassCode=101743106222928
All yearbooks purchased by May 29, 2026, will be shipped to the school for free. Any orders placed after this date will be shipped to your home for a $6.99 shipping fee. Parents can also create a custom page just for their child.
Yearbooks will not be shipped until after our final submission date, which is May 29, 2026. They should be delivered mid to late June.
There is always a learning curve with new systems. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. If we don't have the answer, we will do our best to find it for you!

Congratulations to the Sandhills NJAS state science fair qualifiers. Hazen Clark, Rafe Larsen, Charlie Smith, Bristal Fink and Livia Held competed in Lincoln, Ne last Thursday. 39 junior projects and 40 HS projects competed for cash prizes and honors. Bristal Fink qualified for the top 10 honor as well as earning $100 and a cap. Way to go SHS junior high students.
